PU LLB Counselling 2026

Step-by-step counselling guide for the 3-Year LLB and 5-Year BA LLB at the Department of Laws, Panjab University Chandigarh — schedule, process, documents and fee rules.

Counselling — step by step

  1. 1. Result declared

PU publishes the entrance result and category-wise merit list on puchd.ac.in.

  2. 2. Counselling registration

Qualified candidates register online for counselling, pay the counselling fee (~₹2,000 refundable) and lock category-specific preferences.

  3. 3. Document verification

Upload scanned originals: marksheets, category / EWS / domicile certificate, photo ID, recent photograph and signature.

  4. 4. Round 1 seat allotment

Seats allotted based on merit, category and preference. Candidates can: (a) freeze, (b) float, or (c) withdraw.

  5. 5. Fee payment

Pay university fee within the deadline (usually 3–5 days). Missing the deadline forfeits the allotted seat.

  6. 6. Round 2 / spot round

Vacated seats released in Round 2. A physical spot round handles last-minute vacancies — bring all originals.
