PU LLB 2026 Application Form — Step-by-Step Filling Guide (with Screenshots)
Every year hundreds of PU LLB applications get rejected because of a wrong photo size or a category mismatch. This is the step-by-step 2026 form-filling guide that mirrors what Sector 34 coaching mentors walk their students through.
Step 1 — Registration on puchd.ac.in
Visit <a href="https://puchd.ac.in" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">puchd.ac.in</a> → Admissions → Online Admissions Portal. Register with active mobile + email. You'll receive a candidate ID and password — note this down; it's your gateway for the next 3 months.
Step 2 — Personal & Academic Details
Enter exactly as per your Class 10 certificate. Name mismatch is the #1 cause of admit-card issues. Choose course code carefully: 5-Year BA LLB is a separate code from 3-Year LLB.
Step 3 — Document Upload Specs
- Photograph — JPG, 10–100 KB, white background, taken in last 3 months
- Signature — JPG, 10–50 KB, black ink on white paper
- Left thumb impression — JPG, 10–50 KB (blue ink)
- Category certificate — PDF, max 200 KB, fresh financial year
Step 4 — Fee Payment & Final Submission
Pay ₹2,200 (Gen) / ₹1,100 (SC/ST) via SBI ePay or HDFC payment gateway. Download the confirmation page AND the fee receipt as separate PDFs — you will need both at the counselling stage.
Top 5 Mistakes Chandigarh Aspirants Make
- Wrong category — selecting OBC without a valid central-list certificate
- Wrong programme — applying for 5-Year when intending 3-Year (or vice-versa)
- Oversized photo — auto-rejected by the portal but candidates don't re-check
- Missing the correction window — May 18–22 is the only fix-it window
- Not saving final submission PDF — needed at counselling, no second download

- OBC/EWS certificates must be from the current financial year (2025–26). SC/ST certificates are usually accepted as one-time documents. When unsure, get a fresh one — it's safer.
